Lewis Hamilton has put his stamp on the Hungarian GP weekend even before qualifying by topping all three free practice session, including this mornings FP3.
Just like in previous session, Kamui Kobayashi went wide repeatedly at various points on the track, despite claiming to have had one of the best Fridays of running in a long time. However, he was not the only one as Hulkenberg and others had slight mishaps as well.
Lewis Hamilton on the other hand complained about a struggle to stop his car, indicating his brakes did not work as he expects them to work. The Briton commenced the session with a race simulation, lapping more than 2 seconds a lap slower than his teammate who soon topped the standings.
Daniel Ricciardo did top the standings at the halfway mark, but he was soon overcome by Fernando Alonso and Lewis Hamilton 20 minutes before the end of the session.
What followed was 5 minutes of engine silence as all drivers returned to the pits to prepare for some low fuel runs on the soft tyre, specifically targeted to prepare for qualifying.
On the softs, Hamilton again proved fastest, topping his teammate Rosberg in the closing minutes. Sebastian Vettel went third fastest, making it an identical top 3 as in FP2.
