Aston Martin and BWT renew their partnership

The freshly-rebranded Aston Martin Cognizant Team has revealed that it has renewed its partnership agreement with Austrian water technology specialist BWT - Best Water Technology.

Ahead of the reveal of the Aston Martin Racing’s 2021 car, the AMR21 a week from today, the team announced that it would continue its partnership with BWT in the forthcoming season.

The Silverstone-based squad’ relationship with BWT goes back to 2017 when the former Force India team first presented its famous pink livery.

Commenting on the announcement, Otmar Szafnauer, CEO and Team Principal, Aston Martin Cognizant Formula One™ Team said: “Our friends at BWT have been loyal supporters of this team and I am delighted they have chosen to be a partner of Aston Martin Cognizant Formula On Team.

„BWT will support our efforts to become more sustainable in all areas of the business, but especially in our trackside operations – a goal that marries up with Formula One’s own sustainability objectives. This is a strong and historic partnership entering an important new era, and we are all excited to see what we can achieve together.”

BWT AG is an Austrian manufacturing company of water treatment systems with its headquarters in Mondsee. The company provides products and services for drinking water, industrial water, swimming pool water, boiler and cooling water, see water desalination, heating water, pharmaceutical and process water and fuel cell membranes.

The firm, founded in 1990, has a wide range of sponsorship deals with various motorsport teams, including Forze Hydrogen Electric Racing, a student racing team from the Delft University of Technology, making race cars on hydrogen, ADAC-GT Masters and Formula 4 and Walter Lechner Racing in the high profile Porsche Carrera Cup Germany and Porsche Supercup.

BWT is committed to the reduction of plastics through the adoption of reusable vessels and recyclable filters to reduce waste and pollution in the modern world.
