Spanish press convinced of Alonso - Piquet Jr. line-up for Renault
The Spanish press is convinced that Fernando Alonso will be announced by Renault today or at the latest tomorrow. According to the Spanish newspapers, Nelson Piquet Jr. will be the second race driver for the French team.
If Fernando Alonso and Nelson Piquet Jr. are announced by Renault, Heikki Kovalainen would be able to move to McLaren. The young Finn has been linked with the Woking-based outfit for a while and since Nico Rosberg has signed a new contract with Williams, he remains the only obvious choice for the team of Ron Dennis.
It appears that the silly season can finally come to an end this week.
