Hamilton returns to Spain, Webber points finger at media

As Lewis Hamilton returned to the Spanish test track of Jerez today, the racist abuse against him was not repeated. Last week during the pre-season test session at Barcelona, Hamilton was abused by some of the Spanish fans. After this incident, the Spanish GP and the European GP, at the new urban circuit in Valencia, came in danger.

Today, Mark Webber declared to the 'BBC' that it would be wrong if Spain would get punished for the actions of a minority of spectators at Barcelona: "There were a few guys who were absolutely out of order, and that's what the whole thing has been hung on. You had a lot of fans who were there with their young kids on a Sunday, so why should you stuff it all for them because of a few guys?"

Webber also reckons that the media played a big part in the whole incident: "The over-reaction of the media ... take it back a bit. It's totally controllable and we can get on top of it."
