Force India set to introduce new seamless shift gearbox at Hungary

The Force India F1 Team is planning to introduce their new seamless shift gearbox during the Hungarian Grand Prix weekend. The team already tested the gearbox at Silverstone during an initial shakedown and will test the system again during the Jerez test this week.

If the test is successful, the team will fit the seamless shift gearbox in both cars for Friday practice in Hungary before deciding to use it or not for the race itself.

The new gearbox is believed to be worth 0.3 seconds per lap.

After the German GP, Mike Gascoyne said: "We now we have to move on and look forward to the test next week where we will use the seamless shift gearbox and can look forward to another step in the races to come."
