We're coming closer and closer - Bell

The ING Renault F1 Team is satisfied that their development programme is starting to pay off. The team is currently 6th in the standings with 1 point less than Red Bull Racing and 2 points behind Toyota.

The French outfit is eyeing fourth place and seems to come closer and closer. Although Renault isn't able to catch the BMW Sauber F1 Team in the championship, the drivers run into each other more and more during the races. This is another indication for Renault that the team is improving.

Bob Bell said: "We're coming closer and closer. We can already fight with BMW Sauber and we've a little lead over Toyota and Red Bull Racing. Currently we have the fourth fastest car on the grid and now and than we're capable to catch BMW. This is the performance we expected after the months of development."
