The Memorable Helmets Thread

Post

For each driver, the design of their helmet is something truly special. It has a special meaning to them. Some designs date back to their early driving days or some have a helmet designed just to protect their head. Over the years we have some iconic designs. Iconic, because perhaps it's always that specific car with that special helmet in front of the pack or once you see that helmet appear around the corner, you'd expect something exciting to happen. So what are your memorable, special and iconic helmets?

Here are a few of mine:

While on the subject of helmets. Can someone explain why Damon Hill now uses a dark Navy colour instead of the black ?

Too bad he retired from racing. Still surprised that he totally stopped all of a sudden. I have no idea about his potential, his performances, successes, etc. but I did find it odd he stopped 'right out of the blue' and ended.
