Chris Amon past away from cancer on the 3rd of August

A great driver from an era of real F1 hero's. Will be sadly missed.

I've red a lot about Chris in various publications over the years but does anyone recommend a high quality biography on him?

Quite probably the best driver never to win an F1 championship race. VERY fast in F1, F2, Group 6 and Can-am.

RIP Chris.

For such a fast, naturally gifted racer - who had so many of his contemporaries die due to racing related causes..
.. it always seemed ironic that his "bad luck"- was personally limited to non-fatal DNF-type issues.
