I think it's interesting to have a few different nose solutions - so long as there are some lookers in there.

We already know Mercedes' has retained the pretty nose and nearly all the rumours are that Ferrari have followed that lead; the thumbs are fine enough, I think, Renault's more angular one with the long pillars is even (dare I say it) kinda cool and futuristic looking ; and then you have the Force India - so long as it's the exception and not the rule, it's fine by me, kinda like the Williams 'walrus' of its generation!

Unless you get rear ended by it....
Favourite driver: Lando Norris
Favourite team: McLaren

Turned down the chance to meet Vettel at Silverstone in 2007. He was a test driver at the time and I didn't think it was worth queuing!! 🤦🏻‍♂️

How soon we all wish to forget those shining examples you mean. From an aesthetic point of view; technical wise they are still fascinating.

In that case, it fits perfectly in the new center mounted exhausts ...

I've always liked it. It was way before its time.

As opposed to...? I've not yet seen much evidence that many people understand current philosophies.

I think the walrus nose was Williams way of announcing to the F1 world that they didn't quite understand high-nose concepts at the time.

F1GP

slatedness is really unnecessary and gives me shudders
also make the cars visually even more long.

The center section of the wing wasn't neutral back then was it?

I was always a fan of that solution even though they scrapped it early. Oh the JPM years...

So it looks like everyone so far has retained their nose design as a evolution from 2016, thumb nose for everyone, then Force India nostrils and the Mercedes round nose. Now lets see if RB, TR and Hass keep their 2016 noses.
