The FIA details the components under consideration as follows:

- The primer fuel pump
- The damper, if deemed necessary.
- The HP [high pressure] fuel pump
- The pipes from the primer fuel pump to the coupler located at the exit of the fuel cell
- The pipes from the coupler located at the exit of the fuel cell and the HP fuel pump

in a couple of years, f1's main sponsor is going to be 'scalextric' and carrera.

AMuS:
Parc Fermé starting on Friday in 2021
The race weekend is shortened by one day. This should make room for more races in the calendar. Thursday as media day is omitted. Everything will now take place on Friday. In the morning the press conferences and scrutineering are scheduled, in the afternoon the first two training sessions.
The first training session of the European races will take place from 13.00 to 14.30, the second from 17.00 to 18.30.

Just as the cars are taken over by the FIA commissioners on Friday morning, they also have to drive on Saturday and Sunday.

The engineers already criticized that with the new Parc Fermé rule not even a Gurney flap may be screwed to the rear wing, if the wing passed the technical acceptance without the flap.
https://www.auto-motor-und-sport.de/for ... -training/
So no more RW, bargeboard, FW and floor comparisons in FP between the two cars. If you notice in FP1 that some update isn't working you have to race with it or take it off and start from the pitlane. Also no more using an old engine in FP and a newer spec one in the race #-o
Oh and some small team just being able to produce one maybe two new spec FW, crashing in FP and having to revert back to another spec -> pitlane start.

This is ridiculous! I guess I won't be watching F1 after 2020. Who at FIA comes up with these ingenious solutions?! ](*,)
And shortening the weekend to add more races? Half of the races on the current calendar are not even worth turning your TV on for. This quantity thing they are so obsessed with is truly appalling. More races, more overtakes, more blah blah blah.

This is a terrible decision, and really doesn't justify the logistics teams have to go through. Considering freight and personnel transport from race to race takes time to organize often planned weeks in advance and teams generally spend a week at each venue it makes no sense to consolidate all their effort into a smaller period. These are human beings, back to back weekends take their toll on crews.

These guys are serious bunch of jokers. Do they even realize how much of a handicap this is for smaller teams? Top teams increase their investment in simulations and come well prepared, whereas small teams suffer massively. Which will increase the gulf of performance and by one third of the race, the mid field will be lapped. Then everybody asks, how do we bunch the field together?

Everytime FIA tries something new, it badly affects the smaller teams as big teams quickly overcome FIA's stupidity.

Because they ban innovation and force iteration, thus the ones that can spend the most usually win because they can iterate the fastest. They can afford to have multiple teams doing different front wings, or rear wings, whereas smaller outfits have to focus on one design they either get it right or are plauged with lack of resources trying to get off the back foot. The only ones that can compete have to be operationally perfect as Red Bull is proving having talent and resources can only take you so far, and the gap they're trying to close is a moving target.

At the same time you have to respect the investment that teams make to win, it's just impossible to compete if you make innovation impossible because you cripple any good idea that may come along. Maybe big teams force the iteration game because they don't want to lose the advantage they have invested so much in, and that certainly plays a part, money talks whether you think it shouldn't in principle is irrelevant.

I'm sure there's some misunderstanding ... doesn't parc fermé as of now mean you can't even change the setup of the car unless there's a change in conditions?

The way I understand their position is that you can't change setting even if it goes from 100° and dry to 50° and downpouring rain. :(

How do you make sure a team spends 175m annually? Thats nearly 50% cut for Merc and Ferrari.

Regarding three day weekends: isn't three days of work less than four days of work? That gives extra time for travel. Might be their logic. Similar to limiting testing days. There is a cost to a day. Whether or not it's effective... The HQs keep working those days.

In the article is was also mentioned that it stops teams from flying out new bits to the track after Friday, saving costs.

But why? Who would in their right mind come up with such an idea? Is it to make the races less predictable?

But with new parc ferme rules I don't think they would be able to put those parts on the car, would they?
