I wonder why Mick hasn't found his way to the F2 grid for the final race of the year. Norris did it last year from F3 to F2. Dan Ticktum has done it this weekend. So where's Mick ?
Just look at what team Ticktum drove with, the owner of that team, and previous RB Junior drivers they have run. In addition of course the exceptional circumstance that caused that seat to be vacant.

Good time to go in to F2, the field doesn't look very strong next year. 4 of the top 5 in this current season Russell, Norris, Albon, Markelov have al left the series. I'm not sure what Nyck de Vries is doing. But the field is looking fairly weak at the moment, Mick should have no trouble if he has the talent.

It's also a poisonous gift to win a Championship when no real F1 potentials are in the series.

Camara, De Vries seem to be staying, though on different teams.
Sérgio for DAMS and Nicky with ART.

Hubert is joining MP(why?) and there's the prospect of a rematch with Ticktum.
Mazepin is getting a seat at ART.

I'd say those are the main challengers.

Yeah I agree. I'd say Sette Camara will be in with a great chance. De Vries has done nothing for too long, he's had a decent chance and not taken it.

De Vries isn't cut for it.
And indeed, the competition is not exactly competition, nothing talented at all there.
So sure, should be a walk in the park, but imho doesn't really help you at all.

Though it's good to get some experience with a formula 2 open-wheeler,
i think it might be better to find a seat in a series where competition is hard,
so you must give it all and demand growth from yourself.

I hate to say I told you so, but he simply isn't good enough despite the best efforts of the Schumacher propaganda machine. One wonders what the differences were from last year to this.........

I think it's sad that we've got sons of previous Formula 1 drivers being shoehorned in off the back of the name and their wealth when their talents probably lie elsewhere. It's just an embarrassment to sully a once great name.

And where are the stats that prove HE is not good enough? It's just an article that looks on a few facts while leaving out other. Nothing special or revealing if you read it from a neutral point of view.

From a neutral point of view - What stats prove he is? What facts are they missing out?

From what I have read in this thread, this time last year everyone was saying what a weak grid this year was going to be yet he only finished 12th........
