Personally, I'm expecting Ocon to be trashed by Alonso. More so than now against Ricciardo, because I see Alonso as an extremely adaptable and versatile driver. Like Hamilton and Verstappen, I think he'll be able to handle a car that is inherently difficult or unstable. If the car is planted and predictable, then of course the differences might be smaller.

That's just my hunch though. I have no idea how Alonso will be after being 2 years away from F1. Somehow, I don't think it will matter much, that's how highly I rate Alonso.
It didn't seem to hurt Kimi when he left for 2 years...

Apart from lots of online shouting from his loyal fans, he hasn’t had the opportunity to show what he can really do in this hybrid era, so let’s wait and see. He’s been out F1 now for two years and before that, fighting midfielders at best for another four. The car he’s going to drive had one podium with a Renault engine since the turbo’s came back.
My guess is that he will be needing 21 to get up to full speed again, but with his ruthlessness, Ocon will be a victim of his demand for focus of the team.

In today's completely incomprehensible news, it seems Alfa/Ferrari is maintaining tank-slapper Gio for next year, thus reducing the number of seats available for actually talented Ferrari juniors...

So it seems only (realistically) there are questions marks remaining over:

1xRBR seat
1xAT seat
2xHaas seats
Some rumours over Russell's seat

Correct?

GIO over SchuJr is a huge fail IMHO.

Vassaeur over Steiner for the young driver development, any day!

Russell and Latifi both confirmed at WIlliams for 2021, so Perez will be either Haas or Redbull ? or Out

Is it confirmed-confirmed? The Dutch (sensational) GP newssites report it as 'team manager states (for now) that Latifi and Russell will stay at Williams". Or, in my academic terms, it 'seems they will stay' ;), but it doesn't sound ultra-definitive (in as far as anything is in F1)

Well it's being reported on Sky Sports website as confirmed by the team principal, so yes.

I mean you could say 'it seems' until they are both strapped into the car in the first race of 2021....

Well if Max wants Hulkenberg, then I expect Hulkenberg to be the number 2 driver.
I guess that means Perez goes to Haas or leaves F1 for a season at least.

Very tough on him as he's a good driver who also has substantial backing. Ironically a lesser driver with deeper pockets will have ousted him, ultimately.

Stroll isn't that bad, honestly. I think he will grow immensely alongside Vettel. Imagine a teammate that is willing to teach instead of hiding data and ridicule.

Time and results will be the ultimate determination of if Perez was ousted by a "lesser driver".

Lawrence just bought a Schumacher/ Massa situation for Lance. He's about to goto finishing school. Perez has had several more years and hasn't really made any big jumps in performance.

I think Stroll has some talent. Like he’s not an all time great kinda thing, but I think he wouldn’t be in F1 “only” because of money, imo. Don’t forget he was signed in a junior driver program once, I think the FDA?

Stroll has enlisted the services of Rob Wilson, who is quite a respected driver coach too. This does show he’s willing to admit/work on deficiencies he may have
