So how did that change in Abu Dhabi last year?
It is not always the case of course but Lewis seems more comfortable on the harder rubber.
Here are the GPs, especially in the second half of last year where Lewis out qualified Bottas.

Race - Compound
---------------------
Germany - C4
Italy - C4
Singapore - C5
Russia - C4
Mexico - C4
Abu Dhabi - C5
I'm speaking relative to his Q2 runs on the harder compounds, of course if he didn't beat Hamilton on those occasions it doesn't matter but he gave Hamilton the tonking of a lifetime last season around here.

It's testing, driver comparisons are part of the debate.

AMUS saying renault is saying,

williams catched midfield, RP a bit ahead of other midfield, mcl, ren, torro rosso in one group and alfa haas williams in a group just behind

I really hope that's true. I would be so happy for Williams and it would be great for overall racing action and the sport.

It would have been fun if they said "both Williams and Ferrari managed to catch up with the midfield" 8)

Not when it's who did what last year somewhere else.

Don't tell me then as I didn't bring up 2019.

I was merely pointing out Hamilton struggling with the car on the two softest compounds.
