Magny Cours is a great track
My bad, I got Magny Cours mixed up with Paul Ricard.
That makes sense, modern Paul Ricard is a bit of an optical ilusion

But Monaco races are, plain and simple, a farce. Leaders have raced at 8 seconds slower laptimes than possible, and none dared to try an overtake.
Would Monaco races be nearly as exciting if Mansell on fresh Goodyears could blitz past Senna with ease on a 10m wide back straight? If Vettel could pass an ailing Ricciardo with ease? If Coulthard could pass Bernoldi with ease instead of being stuck behind comically for the entire race? I think it adds drama and tension and is great.

We wouldn't have seen the interesting tactics like the Ferrari drivers backing up the field in the 2017 race (IIRC), if Monaco was so easy to overtake.
Exciting races in Monaco? What decade are we talking about? Because excitement in Monaco races disapeared long time ago, today it´s a procesion where the leader don´t even need to push or defend to keep position. IMHO a farce of a race
The raw racing in Monaco is probably not that great, but the race remains on my short list of truly great tracks for other reasons. For one, it has ambience and atmosphere in giant abundance. Most of the modern tracks raced at are like car parks, and completely devoid of any sort of atmosphere whatsoever.

Yes agree with that, it should be a nice race to attend and live from inside, since there´s no action on track you won´t miss anything like on other tracks , but the racing is simply non existant

That's not really true. Passing does occur there, maybe not as much as hoped for, but it does happen. Watch last year's race and follow Leclerc until he crashed out! He was passing like a maniac. There has also been pitlane drama and some passing due to pit stop strategy, just like at all the other tracks.

Monaco is the jewel in the F1 crown and it is going nowhere any time soon. Thank goodness!

One of the top cars starting from the back of the grid can´t be an evidence of the posibility to overtake at any track. Most drivers do not even defend as he was not his rival and defending can only make them loose time.

Analyse race pace, it´s comical. Didn´t Williams make a fastest lap or close to in the race? Not sure if it was Williams or other car from the bottom of the grid... but that just shows how false is the race, a race where leaders do not push to the point cars from the bottom of the grid lap at similar times than the leaders. That is not racing, it´s a farse wich is kept in the calendar because of the glamour, money and friends between FIA and Monaco people in power, that´s all

Racing is going to the limits, when leaders are several seconds slower than possible, and even so the chasers can´t even try an overtake, that cannot be considered racing IMO

Zandvoort is certainly a great new old track! It's like a rollercoaster, just how a racing track should be. :)

Not sure it will provide lots of passing, but that's not the utmost importance else F1 would just drive around Daytona all day!

I always liked Estoril. But is seems to be neglected now so may not be available.
The old version of Estoril last used in 1993, was a circuit I really liked, but since then it's been butchered for safety reasons.
