ahem, look who got the most track time this session .....
BBC wrote:1550: Quite a bit of pit stop practice taking place as the session draws towards a close. Only those who have struggled today - McLaren, Williams and Virgin - are focusing on longer stints as they desperately seek track time. The race distance at the Spanish Grand Prix is 66 laps and Hamilton, Maldonado and D'Ambrosio are the only men yet to reach that figure.

At least they have no tire wear with this strategy...

Poor Mclaren. I do feel for them, but I think they set themselves up with their "attention to detail" blurb. Lets hope the Maccas show some speed(and reliabilty) By Oz.
More could have been done.

Do we know what McLaren were having to sort out on Hamilton's car?

I believe it had something to do with the exhaust.

my order on testing in barcelona:

1. Red Bull
2. Ferrari
3. Lotus Renault GP
4-5-6 Torro Rosso/Mercedes/Mclaren

Red Bull is very strong and very fast, same is for Ferrari, but little slower then Red Bull's. Lotus Renault is for top 3 and that is nice suprise from Enstone (after years of disappointment). torro rosso seems to me fast but i dont know how fast compared with Mercedes and Mclaren. I expect from Mercedes to improve his forms and the same goes for Mclaren.

The torro rosso is faster than the renault. Torro Rosso is upper field with Ferrari and REdBull, then there is a little gap then you have Mclaren and renault and all the rest. IMO

For distance covered, i am gonmna say that Williams has the least relyable car of 2011 so far:

Ferarri 150°: 5,578.534 (4 tests)
Red Bull-Renault RB7: 5,379.840 (4 Tests)
Sauber-Ferarri C30: 5,015.825 (4 Tests)
Mercedes GP MGP W02: 4,762.864 (4 Tests)
STR-Ferarro STR6: 4,762.864(4 Tests)
Lotus Renault GP R31: 4,020.543 (4 tests)
Williams-Cosworth FW33: 3,917.819 (4 tests)
Force India Mercedes VJM/04: 3,305.637 (3 tests)
McLaren Mercedes MP4/26: 3,182.334 (3 tests)
Marussia Virgin-Cosworth MVR/02: 3,104.334 (3 Tests)
Team Lotus-Renault T128: 2,862.564 (4 Tests)
Hispania-Cosworth F111: 0.000

2010/2011 Intrim Cars:

Hispania-Cosworth F110plus: 1,949.275 (2 official tests)
Force India-Mercedes VJM/03: 1,309.635 (1 test)
McLaren-Mercedes MP4/25: 1,117.395 (1 test)
Marussia Virgin-Cosworth VR/01: 877.095 (1 test)

Team Totals:

Red Bull-Renault 5,379.840
McLaren-Mercedes 4,299.729
Scuderia Ferrari 5,578.534
Mercedes GP 4,762.864
Lotus Renault GP 4,020.543
Williams-Cowsorth 3,917.819
Force India-Mercedes 4,615.272
Sauber-Ferarri 5,015.825
STR-Ferarri 4,594.091
Team Lotus-Renault 2,862.564
Hispania-Cosworth 1,949.275
Marussia Virgin-Cosworth 3,981.429

Generally speaking relyability is down on 2010 so far, as last year there was a red flag every 78.5 laps on average in testing, in 2011 that figure is 76.6 laps. I think that is down to new hydrolic solutions for many teams in terms of new pull rod gearboxes, and the more glaring reason, KERS.

Last year we only had 53 pre season red flags, this year its already at 49 red flag stoppages.

Without final test data from the next 3 days theese figures may be a little flawed, however there are a few teams that are down up to 2000km on last years test total.

@ Neno & n smikle,

I'd say you guys are reading too much into testing times.

For this test only hards and softs are available.

I have something else I go by and it is not testing times alone. It is soo easy to tell when you do what I do. What I do accounts for 80% of my predictions. And that method usually works.

Ok, you got me interested enough to "bite". What is that thing you do that usually works and accounts for 80% of your predictions?
