I'm pretty sure that there's someone out there with the rights to the company name and all the gubbins. And desparate for some money. Nothing better than sueing an F1 team for some dosh.

Good to see this thread, I was thinking of starting it myself. What do you guys think about the possibility of the double floor being the way to get good airflow to the rear this year? If that's the case then TR may be in the money given their experience with it last year...

The STR4 was the same as the RB5, just with a 056 power plant and not a RS27.

The RB5 wasn't a minger???

That's not bad! Ok hardly a great looking car but there were plenty worse.

Sorry, can't agree. That car is awful looking. Perhaps its the paint scheme because I don't recall viewing the equivalent RB with the same disdain.

I really dislike those wheel discs from 2009, they make the cars look a bit beyond thunderdome.

The STR6 was apart from the livery a very pretty racer IMO.

Especially with its ironing-board nose later in the season. I remember wincing every time it came into view.

The Renault wasn't much better nor the FI. Come to think of it there were no particularly nice looking cars that year. Think it was the new, wide front and narrow rear wings being accentuated by the bigger front tires that did it.

Anyway, any news on the car we should be discussing

The floor will have cut outs mid way along the length, where the venturi of the double floor will entrain air from beneath the car. Expect to see the the side pods much more compact.

I expect this car to be the fourth fastest.
I predicted this last year but it didn't happen until the last races when they were faster than the Mercs.
