Lotus E21 Renault

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

But at least the parts are fitting better this year. Last time it was looking like a patchwork.

Two versions of the car even in the first pics, how enigmatic.

I wonder if the driver's name is required to be there? Would fit with MB experiments last year - maybe a specified area on the car?

That might be the only thing we can learn from this clothes horse ;)

This is what i'm talking about:

It would be the first time since 2003 that Enstone keeps the same chassis design... unless today's car is a modified old E20

It's just a show car. They put some winglets and exhaust ramp on E20. Just like last year.
It's been a long time since we drove last time, but it has also been a short time at the same time

I hold on to my thought that the first time we will see the E21 will be when it rolls out of the garage at Jerez.

The team itself released a collection of computer generated images, with different exhausts and an un-stepped nose. I wouldn't read into it too much.

They are much more exciting though.

Does this front suspension look like pull-rod?

So the computer-generated ones picture the real car, with "the device" inlets and refined exhaust?
