Ferrari F138

Alonso says Ferrari won't have their upgrade package ready for this last test, first time they'll run it in full will be in Oz 1st practice
It's annoying all this; they've said for weeks that they'll have the first raft of updates here and the final bits won't come until Melbourne.

I'm certain this is because these are pretty major revisions - like the exhaust update we've already seen - and adding them all at once would give a confusing picture. They're adding them bit by bit and assessing each piece; with any luck, they'll all continue to work as per the wind tunnel data.

Rant over. Hopefully the exhaust layout will help with traction, which seems to be their weakest area.

Changes I can see on the new front wing:

1) Small black tab above leading edge of cascade (RB has had this for some time)
2) Slot in lower endplate extension at 1/2 chord
3) Hard to see from this view but the opening in the endplate appears much smaller
4) Segment in the outer edge of the next to the last element, for a total of 7 elements at the extreme edge of the wing
5) More curve to the botom of the endplate rear edge

new cascade wings with an added fin on top and a new shape on the horizontal part of the endplate as well!

Missed that, the 'divider' vane on the cascade now stops at 1/2 chord. So the second element of the cascade is now full span.

Apparently a new diffuser too, according to Gary Anderon.

Ted's been duped by Ferrari as he hasn't mentioned the new Front Wing the team bolted on for a short time and the exhaust solution the team have been running nearly all day....

"...and there, very much in flames, is Jacques Laffite's Ligier. That's obviously a turbo blaze, and of course, Laffite will be able to see that conflagration in his mirrors... he is coolly parking the car somewhere safe." Murray Walker, San Marino 1985

Sorry if it's been covered before, but the vertical fins on top of the difusor? Not noticed any other teams using them.

Can anyone speculate what these covered holes near the exhaust are?
