Red Bull RB9 Renault

Dear friend, if you look carefully the picture you've posted, you can see that they are on Friday. The two cars have sensors on the sides of the air scop that are mounted only on Friday!
then you're wrong

And actually, I would say the top pictures were taken in Korea. Once Vettel won with a helmet, he doesn't wear it again. Would surprise me to see him break his own "rule".

Gary Anderson's analysis of the RB9 FW introduced in Korea, mainly the two new vertical strakes.

Assuming you've all seen this?
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/formula1/24511950 (UK Only)

The heat-vision camera on the Red Bull shows front edge of the tea-tray glowing orange (hotter than the tyres). The "secret" is somehow Red Bull are able to run the front edge of the plank very low to the track without wearing it away to the point it becomes illegal.

Interestingly they didn't have the heat signature at Suzuka.

If it is really scraping the plank on the ground, then they truly have geniuses at red bull. The materials used in the T-tray are pre-defined; not much you can do to influence wear, but apperently red bull still got it done.

Webbers car was set up too low. This disappeared after FP1. Don't know how often this should be written again. :D

This is a false assumption. He had this every time when his IR camera in Singapore and Korea: during FP's, qualies and races. Every time. It didn't show up in Japan.

For me this is a sign that RBR is already working towards 2014. They try to maximize innert downforce and diffusor efficiency towards the end of 2013. They can carry a lot of this development into 2014 season.

No. The yellow signature was only visible in FP1. During race it was more like blue and therefore way colder. A bit of scraping always happens, so this area will never be completely grey.

This image came straight from the race in Korea:

It's hotter then the tyre.

Probably from the beginning of the race. Due to high fuel load cars are much lower at the beginning of a race. I remain with my statement. All this t-tray kers etc... theories are crap and poor attempts to explain the strenght of this car. One can easily see on your picture that the heat is generated from scraping, as the biggest heat is seen on the bottom of the t-tray.

There's video footage from the race right before the first safety car where it is exactly this hot. I'm btw not supporting any or other theory; it could very well be scraping the t-tray on the ground, while capacitors/resistors theories also sound plausible. I'm not dicussing that; all I know is that Webber, Vettel does not have the IR camera, runs the t-tray this hot all race-weekend long. Could be explained by having a very stiff suspension which minimizes the effect of fuel on ride height, allowing them to run low all the time. Also factor in the rake.
