Ferrari SF15-T Pre-Launch Speculation Thread

In those days though the suspension geometry was designed to work in the best way possible, unlike now where it is massively compromised by having to fit in with the needs of the aero department.

indeed. but let's get back on the fiat please.

i wonder. ferrari had an all red car back in 2007 to 2009. but the drivers overalls and teamwear had plenty of white on them.
so what if ferrari has finally gone back to an all red livery for this season? i think that would be cool! i hate white on red. it never works. black and red always works and so does gold and red. but not white and red. excluding mclaren ofc 'cause that's an iconic thing. with that said, i hope mclaren goes for all black, but that's most likely not happening.

i don't think santander is going to stay with ferrari for too long, now that alonso's gone to mclaren, so that would remove the white from the car. maybe not for this season tho. sigh, oh well.

if ferrari manages to place themselves in 7th to 3rd per each race this season, i'll be happy. and i'll be even happier if they'll put their focus into the 2016 car, and kimi signs for atleast one more year. i'd hate to see him leaving the sport when the team is within the reach of making a great car once again. kimi should atleast stay for 2016, and see if the car then will be anything good. if not, then it's ok if he leaves.

Both eras accept no comparion. Current cars are way more complicated and as you have said suspension´s development is very much compromised by areo needs and restrictions.

It is the front of the upper wishbone. Which may have had its geometry revised.

You can't see the pull rod there. But it definitely doesn't have a push rod.

The pull rod attaches at the chassis around the level of the lower wishbone mount, and at the hub near the upper wishbone mount.

What the Mercedes W05, wasnt that pusrod?
A "pusrod". Well dear Scarbs, we all love what we call aeroporn, but that still sounds very wrong, especially coming from you :P. (and it seems you edited it :P)

Guys, when the car gets officially launched I'll open the official topic, here: http://www.f1technical.net/forum/viewto ... 12&t=21369 . This one will be closed then. I'll repeat here that from that point on talk will be limited to the physical parts of the car, as well that the speculation ends!

Hi everyone, I'm new here.
I was wondering if this could be the real profile of the car...

2015 ferrari with McLaren front profile only without ridiculous bulkhead trick... long flat wide nose?

New here, and excited to see the reveal. I just created a composite of some frames from the new video for a better look at the profile.

looks like they've gone for a similar nose as mclaren did. but not as long maybe? maybe a little higher too.

I appriciate your effort, but this just simply shows nothing.. just you being creative with black and blue lines. =D>
