Scuderia Ferrari SF15-T

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

EDIT: Ah ok, it's just a OMNICORSE fault as usual
This is a new update, there is no OmniCorse fault.

Here is Japan spec

I dont know about that but if you look at most teams (front running teams) they have copied mercs approach to front wing technology and may be merc are possibly leading on that front a lot of people are saying mercs dominance is all engine related but its possible they're leading the way aero wise aswell.
Everyone in F1 copies what works. Look at the Lotus front wing from 2012 below. The current Merc front wing has many similarities, did they 'pay' Lotus for this? Every F1 car on the pit lane is a derivative of someone elses work in some respect.

If you look at the W03 's (2012 car) front wing, you can see Mercedes didn't copy from Lotus and w06's front wing is the evolution of W03

No mate, OmniCorse did not post the wrong image. Piola rarely makes mistakes.

Last one was on formula one website about waste gate tail pipes free of rules and the come-back of blowed exaust...a mistake corrected one day later.

Ferrari brought quite a few updates to Austin. Amongst them are the return of two aerofoils/turning vanes on the front edge of the t-tray. This specific update was part ofa larger update the team brought earlier in the year but quit using said package. Changing the air flow in this area of the car is not a small thing, it's quite sensitive & important. What's most interesting is the reversal of the teams decision not to use the t-tray update. There's obviously something different/changed with the cars structures(air flow) that has made the team change it's mind.

New monkey seat in Mexico. First tested in Austria but not seen on the car again until now:

If someone said to me that you can have three wishes, my first would have been to get into racing, my second to be in Formula 1, my third to drive for Ferrari.

While many of the other teams have updated bodywork with more cooling capacity just for Mexico, Ferrari is running the same 'higher cooling' rear bodywork we have seen several times before:

RebBull for comparison is running a HUGE exit area:

RedBull should be careful cause their PU could slip through that hole
