Which Marussia? in the 2014 one, the top duct feed's the compressor (exactly like the Ferrari and Sauber) and the lower duct feeds some ERS radiators placed between monocoque and engine. The 2014-2015 Ferrari/Marussia/Sauber intercooler do not need an air duct. It's an air water-intercooler.
And as we said, the STR9 used the classic upper roll hoop intake for the compressor, and the lower one provided air for the engine oil coolers. But we dont know if the STR10 uses the lower intake for the same purpose.

So Key said, the STR10 seen so far was just a n experimental car so the young drivers could do many miles.
This week though, they got a totaly new car.

new:
- Nose
- Floor
- Wings
- Sidepods

It's the 115M 2015 Marussia.

The car's a beauty

Easy to see the RBR influence on the front wing.

http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/117824
"It's almost completely brand new: Aero, cooling, suspension and the nose is new.

"It's a Williams direction. We always knew this was the way to go - the only reason we did the long one was because this [new nose] is technically more difficult with the impact test, and we wanted to give ourselves a banker.

"We got the long one neutral in terms of aero performance, but that's all it was. It basically means you can run without having the stress of squeezing through a difficult impact test, but this one has passed pretty well.

"This and the rest of the car is actually the 'real' racecar. Everything before that was [built] months ago in terms of aero."

Compared to the RB11 (first) iteration, the STR 'finger' seem to be thinner and the nose higher --> more space under the nose on paper
