A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

More output = more thermal efficiency = less heat = less cooling requirements ?

Well, the PU has quite a few different heat sources. The MGU-H unfortunaly only captures the heat from exhaust gasses passing through the turbo. There will be more thermal efficiency from there, but it still might be that the ICE requires more cooling, for instance.

Maybe even high voltage cables and other electronic components as well. Also the packaging can create tougher heat spots that dissipate badly i guess. So maybe more efficient less cooling demands works better on paper.

They've announced Casio as a team partner. Jumped ship from the parents because of Tag. At least it's kept in the family.

haha, told them again incorrect cooling requirements?
no, I think planned sidepods/radiators for Renault PU were just too small.. for simple adaption... PU Fer 2015 last spec is not the general problem here...

Finishing races is important, but racing is more important.

Maybe the Renault engine wasn't as bad initially as someone teams made it look.

Not enough cooling?!
Looks like Renault might yet have a good laugh this season.
