Williams FW38 Mercedes Speculation Thread

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

If that is the first picture of the 2016 car (what i don't believe) it means that the liverie would be exactly the same as last two years...

Hope not [-o<
Being a racing driver means you are racing with other people. And if you no longer go for a gap that exists, you are no longer a racing driver because we are competing, competing to win...

Let's hope so they actually went backwards between 2014 and 2015 on average being about .5 seconds slower. They were slower in Abu Dhabi and Austria which had the same conditions for both races in both years.

In Austria, Massa achieved a 1:08.759 in 2014 compared to 1:09.192 in 2015, this pattern repeats itself, except for Hungary, where they gained .1

Yes, but the regs slowed the cars slightly. Increased minimum weight (692kg to 702kg) plus the change to the tyre compounds.
Favourite driver: Lando Norris
Favourite team: McLaren

Turned down the chance to meet Vettel at Silverstone in 2007. He was a test driver at the time and I didn't think it was worth queuing!! 🤦🏻‍♂️

Plus the new nose rules which were not as ideal as the 2014 ones.

It looks exactly the same? Is this actually a reveal or is it just the 2015 car?

There appears to be a lot going on at the back, albeit in low-res, and some nice new curls on the floor adjacent the side pods.

Of course! Admittingly, nobody saw Williams stealing the show from Ferrari today. Else I'd set up a topic yesterday and made a warning this topic will be unstickied and closed.

So I'll be doing just that. Remember people, the official car topic has stringent rules: strictly about the car's hardware ONLY! Rules will be also put in the first post once I can grap something larger then an iphone5's screen.
