Red Bull RB12 TAG-Heuer

Loving the frozen clear coat. The car is so compact. The engine for sure spoils the flow over the pods so it is not as skin tight as the Mclaren at that point but everywhere else is looking so "deliberate" as Newey cars always do.

Very compact and clean packaging. More so than Mclaren.
The bat wing above the tea tray seems to be something they are copying from Mercedes.
Though i remember a few years ago Williams having some kind of snow plow bodywork above the tea tray.
For Sure!!

RBR had a bat wing last year.... well it looked more like a seagull
But indeed this bat looks a bit like the 2009 Brawn and 2010 Williams snow plow, with no connection to the tea tray Image

RBR Batman. Definitly inspired by Merc, but different mounting.

Ah, my bad. The RBR bat IS connected to the splitter, not to the water drop shaped laser sensor like other cars...
A huge difference

That matte finish gives some of the photos a video game rendered look to the car, its really weird to the eyes

I thought their batwing looked quite different. Thanks for the post. Is its purpose to bisect flow around the sidepods or to aid in flow attachment, or both?
