Why is there nothing new on the Merc? Does this mean that they're struggling with correlation and can't seem to match the wind tunnel vs track performance numbers, or are they out of ideas?
Hungaroring once again exposed the weakness in W08. So, it doesn't make any sense to add new parts, until they clearly understand the challenges they are facing with the setup for slow turn circuits. They have got a perfect opportunity to slug it off on a circuit that made them vulnerable and come out of it rich in knowledge.

If I understand correctly, they most likely have various internal elements that they might be testing to overcome their challenges to be better prepared for Singapore GP. And most likely be enhancing their understanding of the tyres in relation to their challenges.

They don't have to worry about the other upcoming fast circuits on the calendar.

Besides, it would be time to move resources to W09 and they need to understand if they have any fundamental flaws that they need to sort for W09.

what were the vibrations supposed to be from in Lewis' car in Qualifying?
The car didnt have tyre warm up issues in Hungary, the issue could be tyre pressure related?

The tyres probably had an inconsistent radius...

Amus gallery shows a nice spoon wing where the middle isn't rounded but flattened. Cannot link the picture right now.

I cannot spot anything different besides the flatter spoon shaped rear wing.

Perhaps the bargboard vertical teeth as I remember were -r- shaped, now they seem straight.

So at last they have now a low caliper position on the rear brake hence adding some small DF at the rear axle ... and maybe lowering their car`s CG ... how about their front brake caliper position? Anyone knows?

Good thing they got their oil burn advantage in before the cutoff...

Something tells me they are going to need to to win this year.
