Force India VJM10 Mercedes

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

Indeed, they look quite bulky.

Interesting nose, can't tell, are the 'darker' bits funnelling air under the car, into an S Duct style system or just up over the top of the body?

Guess the big hump vanity panel might be covering where an S Duct opening could go?

Turning vanes are interesting too, and the front wing. Quite a 'different' interpretation of the rules than what we've seen so far...

If I had to guess, this bump has hydraulic suspension parts underneath.

Looks like a very interesting S-duct arrangement with the air scoops on either side of the penis, which could instead be just elaborate turning vanes.

And you have to remember that this is just a launch car...i expect many differences from Monday on!! Some things like the step, the nose and the shark fin look a bit unfinished! My god so hyped about the speed and the car developments of this season...just brilliant!! Love it!! :D

On a closer look those appear indeed to be turning vanes. Step looks to be for suspension as turboF1 suggested earlier.

Side head protection is standing out as well. The "walls - yes i said it" are further away and made to stand out.
