These brake ducts are huge, surely not only for cooling the brakes

So the 'gearbox tunnel' is still there.

Big slot on the crash structure like last year. But I’ve not seen any smoke until now.

The cooling outlets are MUCH smaller. As small or just slightly bigger than Merc, who always did everything possible to not open the outlets at the back, like having much bigger sidepod inlets then RBR and Ferrari, and even things like halo and sharkfin outlets.

So ferrari increased the sidepod inlets a bit compared to SF71, but have decreased the outlets sized considerably, and the roll hoop is also much smaller

It has been noted that a new venturi duct has replaced the radiator gills

Is the roll hoop airbox opening much smaller? Or is it reshaped? It seems like the opening below the triangle opening is much larger than last year's car. The amount of cooling above the drivers head could be the same as last year but just with a more efficient shape opening.

Also ferrari no longer have the top side pod cooling opening from the last 2 seasons.

Whatever is going on they have certainly targeted their already impressive cooling for massive improvements.

There are actually openings on the top?!?

Ferrari still has the two hole sidepod intake. However they reshaped it a bit, the upper intake hole is now split by the horizontal air guide (or whatever this is called)

Yes but it seems to be front facing rather than top facing. I wish I could articulate it better. The secondary inlet is on the same plane as the primary inlet rather than perpendicular to it as it was the last two seasons. Before you could drop a tool into it from the top, not any longer.

I wonder why Ferrari has not done anything on the rims.

Looks like the sun shining through the rear wing end plate to me.

Looks like you still can drop something into the secondary inlet. It is reshaped, certainly.

Yes you are correct. it's now more like the other cars side pods.
For Sure!!

It was always like this, really. Scarbs pointed this out early after 2017 launch. There are 2 flaps above the upper side crash structure that are used to redirect flow downward instead of straight backwards, thus allowing to bring front inlet lower lip higher - to allow more air to the rear. Dimensions and ratio of upper and front area surfaces is all that has changed, just like between 2017 and 2018.
And they call it a stall. A STALL!
