Renault F1 R.S. 20

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter does not belong here.

First pic that shows the width of the centerline cooling rad... it's wide...
(pic might be from 2019, but RS20, RS19 and RS18 have the same layout)

Indeed. An original treatment for the 'Y250' area. I wonder how that works. They removed one of the tips

Ferrari took a similar development step with its FW endplate and footplate last year

Both teams decided to flatten and to lower the back of the footplate and to give it an outwashy vane near the trailing edge. And they cut the trailing corner of the endplate

Enstone were the Kings of this sort of front wing since back in 2010. They took what Brawn GP had and really went crazy. They have been sort of tame in hybrid era though.

Tame largely because the man who was at the helm has left and is now the captain of the Flying Benz.

Is it My imagination or have Renault smoothed out the transition between the tub and the nose since March?
The impossible often has a kind of integrity which the merely improbable lacks.

It looks the same to me.

The floor leading edge seems to be serrated... And it has more teeth than 2019.
