McLaren MCL35

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

I think the subtle point being made (sarcastically) is the pics linked are of the front of car!

Nothing sarcastic... Look at the "Bulge / Height" of our Old Diffuser compared to the New...

Our new Diffuser is "Bigger / Higher" .... Thus more Downforce...

But, too me the RB's is even "Bigger / Higher" than ours... Thus more Rear Downforce than us...

Hope this clarifies...

The diffuser will stall if the "bulge" is too aggressive.

Their new diffuser has excellent consistency, which means the rest of the aero is working. They can probably make it bigger with a little more refinement.

Q: (Stefano Mancini – La Stampa) Kimi, will you help Vettel to win his championship this year?
Kimi Raikkonen: I can only drive one car, obviously.

It's one of the new 360 cameras they use, so they can look at the driver and then spin round to see the track.

Yeah it's quite strange. On the Ferrari you could see the louvers as open ended to guide the flow. But these look like they block so much.
