McLaren MCL35M

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

also clearly visible that there is no 4th flow conditioner on the floor, contrary to suggestions earlier in this thread.

Look properly and you will see the 4th element as posted earlier in this tread... Clearly they removed it now...

From @Graftechweb
The real stand-out for me from that picture is the shear quantity of floor visible on the McLaren as compared to the other two. Very narrow side pods.
And James Key said they were compromised in this area due to the tokens. It’s definitely a case of what might for Mclaren

The picture you assume is the evidence doesn't actually show four elements. There is a shadow from the three known elements and a metallic bit on the inside of the floor, but that ain't a fourth element.
Besides, it would not make sense at all to add or remove carbonfibre bits onto the floor during a weekend. The process involved in fabricating these complex parts doesn't include glueing pieces on it or removing them as they like. It's way more complex. There are two iterations of the floor this weekend and neither of them contain four aerodynamic elements in front of the rear tires.

New floor and front wing. Finally the big update is here!! VERY EXCITED
**sees P11 and P14 in FP2** #-o

srsly though, surprised they changed the floor and the FW at the same time. Surely they would want to evaluate each impact separately over a weekend?
