Honda RA108

Is it the one that went loose in the wind tunnel in 2005?

When you add front wing to a car it will grip at the front - or at least it's supposed to - do that on the RA107 and it understeered more! There's a fundamental design flaw there, somewhere, and you can bet sooner or later Ross will see it, and suggest a way of doing it better.
interesting, sounds so amateurish, got a quote on that? Was it consistent at all circuits/tyre compounds etc?
Unfortunately no, I haven'r got a written quote to write here. But I did hear both Ruvens & Jenson say this at a handful of races. From what I gathered this seemed to be an issue only at some circuits, most notably Hungary where I think both of them complained of it.

Oh dear, oh dear. Is it just me or am I sensing a case of Deja Vu? More work to do until the car is competitive? Sooner or later they are going to run out of excuses. Then (more) heads will roll in the design department. Thus giving them a scapegoat and more excuses lol.

Seriously though, joking aside, I know that making an F1 car is not an easy thing, but with their budget you'd think they could at least make a car that can compete with the Force-Spyk-Land car's?! Without wanting to do the technology a disjuctice - how hard can it be?! (For them).

I really fear that sooner or later any talent JB had will be blunted. In relation to another active topic - Button, the next Fisi anyone???

I am wondering if their choice of high nose has meant that the critical front suspension geo isn't very good...leading to the lack of grip issue.

If so I would expect a RA108B!

Honda still focused on 2009 - Brawn
"I can see in some team areas where we can improve the car," Brawn told Autosport. "You can watch on the circuit that the ride quality of the car isn't very good. It's not riding the bumps very well, so there are things like that we need to improve."
If the RA108 doesn't have very good ride quality and doesn't ride the bumps/curbs well, I can imagine how it will do come Monza..... . That's if these issues continue without change that is.

So far Honda has done pretty good, at least in comparison to most of the preseason thoughts, so hopefully they can continue the positive stride.
