Here is some pics to show how they made the rear end tighter and how the "bulge" became pronounced:

Beginning of the season:

Also a pic of the rear end with the gearbox and suspension exposed; notice how high the suspension is mounted, and hypothetically where the "bulge" would appear under very tight bodywork.

So you can tell that at the beginning of the season, there was one big hump that actually bulged near the exhaust. Now, the bulge is much smaller, but a bit more pronounced because of the two "bumps" sticking out. They are more pronounced due to tighter bodywork. There is no longer a bulge near the exhausts, the bodywork has become much tighter in that area. Use the horizontal suspension members as reference points in terms of how much fatter and bulkier the bodywork was at the beginning of the season compared to now.

could be that they designed the gearbox taller to make more room for their TDD and thus making the suspension componentry higher as well.

The Bulge was coz of KERS, they tested it at winter
so no bulge when the season started, no KERS aswell!

I do wonder, though: They probably only adjust the rear wing once or twice until they settle on the angle they'll use in qualifying and race... Wouldn't it make sense, aerodynamically, to block these holes that aren't used?
A little helocopter tapewill do the trick

guess so

You would expect something like that to show up at http://thereifixedit.com/ not in a Grand Prix lol.

it is not stuck on with the blue tape. It appears that the tape may just be there to protect the nose/body from the attachment.

I'm sure it's a cheap temporary test mule. They weren't going to race that.

Im shure its something they were just testing to get some real world data, before working on it and refining it more, were probably a race or two away from seeing Toyota being one of 3 teams rolling out a Red Bull eske nose hump. Im shure those nose humps are designed to do the same as the antlers last year;

I cannot find any pictures of it, but Jarno's car looked like it had a modified rear wing on race day, much like BMW's and Force Indias.

I am not sure if Timo's car had it...

Anyone have a picture?
