Toyota TF101

This was Toyota's test mule that was used prior to their 2002 season, and had over 3000 laps put on it.

Amazing I think how similar it is to being in line with this years cars.

Back when the cars were actually well-proportioned.

I know they used the TS020 as a chassis to test the engine for durability.

is it me or does that car resemble the honda test car very much? in 1999 honda also prepared an entry, but it was canceled due to the death of harvey postlethwaite(do you writ eit like that lol?)

It was a proper dog though wasn't it? 7secs off the pace IIRC?

They tested their V12 in that car, and it was a good job at the time the V12 was deemed illegal otherwise that was their race car. A bad start like that would have been terrible. At least in 2002 the car was quite respectable imo.

The TF101 was a lovley looking car. The livery and shape were both glorious!
