Red Bull RB6

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

I'm pleased to see the overall concept remain, especially that tiny bum. Ridges are definitely more pronounced than the rb5. I just hope the jerez weather doesn't prove to be a problem...i'm sure they got plenty of data on the tyres from Torro Rosso from the last test.

Ooo I was wrong about the CGI model then! Right, off to go an buy a hat so that I can eat it...

Looks like an evolution with nothing really revolutionary about it (not to the degree that many were expecting anyway).

The season is over, lets give Vettel the trophy and move on to 2011.

Amazingly narrow rear end, pull-rods, brilliant!

I was thinking the opposite, Mclaren are good to go whooo!! \:D/
I was expecting the rb6 to completely blow everything else out of the water. I can rest easy, but i reserve my thoughts till after the tests.

Aside from that, where are the exhausts? :?
For Sure!!

if that is the rb6 i want to know where all the fuel goes... the end half is tiny... it looks like 2009 proportions not 2010.
maybe newey pulled of a packaging masterstroke, which is very possible, but i cant shake the feeling this is an RB5 doing an impersonation of an RB6.

that rear end is just too small... look at the 'plan view'. if this is the real RB6 i agree with manchild... vettel is gonna pull a button in 2010...

Is it me or is the V-nose concept different to last year. Previously it was about being able to raise the whole sides of the nose cone, allowing more air past underneath the nose and past the front tyres. This time the cross section on the nose looks pretty square, with aerodynamic fins on the nose as an addition.

oh come on we can share
how about
both Vettel and Webber bot got same points in the end of the season
each one of them win 50% of the races and got second place for the other 50%
now that would be interesting

Webber is a great guy, and a good driver, but just isn't same class as Vettel.

looking at that top shot, I wonder if they have done something similar to Mclaren and integrated the lower rear beam wing with the DDD.

WOW the sharkfin looks unlike anything else out there. It does not have any "gap" between it and the engine cover.
