The GP2/11 and HRT F110

Post

Now look, I know you might be thinking this should be in the other forum, but please hear me out first. I was reading the March release of Racecar engineering and there was a cover page feature on the GP2/11.

How much of the GP2/11 is actually based on the HRT F110? They look awfully similar, and they're created by the same people at Dallara, no?

Different design teams. Also the GP2/11 is a completely different chassis, the GP2/11 is based off the GP2/08. There are similarities in some areas, but generally is a completely different solution.

However, if you put a F1 rear end in the GP2/11 with all the F1 MES stuff it was once suggested you would get a car that was faster than the Hispania-Cosworth F110, and possibly faster than some of the more established tail enders like STR and Sauber.
