I was surprised to learn when I reached Paris that it is actually called "Parree" not "Pariss"😳
Pagheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

This is probably why I enjoyed Finnish even though it's somewhat difficult grammatically since my mother tongue is more like English. The Finnish literal pronunciation of everything was a welcome change :D

Will we see safety cars this race? Charles has already said he'll be going kamikaze more or less.

Also, anybody noticed how facial hair = better performance? Bottas and Max both doing much better since letting the testosterone manifest freely! Go on boys let the springtime of youth guide you!!! =D>

That is amazing.

At that pace the 2019 Williams would wipe the floor with the 2014 Mercedes and that’s WITH all the extra weight of the current F1 car.

I have a horrible feeling that we are overdue a big pile up in the first corner/s of the race and this track is perfect for that problem. It is at that stage of the championship where drivers will feel that they need to establish firmly that they are not backing down ( as Hamilton has stated ) or feel that they have to take the risk to claw back some points because just accepting where they are is not good enough ( Leclerc et al) . It is now make or break the path of your championship methinks. However I really do hope that we have a clean start and a good race, well as much as you can in Monaco

Its especially amazing as the Top Speed at Start-Finish ist the same. 2019 Merc wins all the 5 seconds in the corners. its visibly faster around the chicanes.

It's because in French consonants at the end of the words are not pronounced and Ch is read as Sh.
Isn't it easy to write, "SHAARL", instead of confusing the rest of the world by writing as "CHARLES", but pronouncing it as "SHAARL"?
That's right, French spelling is tough.
But, Leclerc refers to himself as "Charles" and not "Shaarl."

That's no problem mate. We will either not race because the tyres can't dissipate enough water or "race behind the SC."

Then, start racing 4 laps before slicks and then have a procession.

Had some circuit changes in 2016 tho, in favor of improving laptime. T11-12 shortened & T15 barrier moved backwards. Worth a few tenths at least.

I'm predicting Verstappen for Pole and Win.

I'd like to back Ricciardo for both, but it's pretty obvious by now that the Renault lacks the ride/bump control to be competitive here - I do think he could drag the Renault into the top 6 in qualifying tho.
Well, I was quite wrong about Max, I thought RedBull would be stronger.

However I was close in my prediction for Danny Ric, qualifying 7th was an outstanding effort.
Last year Renault qualified 8th and 11th, this year 7th and 11th. Ric surely put in a good Q, but I wouldn’t call it spectacular.

Good. It was humid as hell over wed-fri when I was there. It did rain overnight on the Friday too.
