Instead of telling people to "deal with it" get over yourself.

Personally, i thought it was great racing with some borderline moments, but nothing straight dirty.
But that kind of arrogance just rubs me the wrong way...
Anyway... i originally came here to post this:

Its about double standards mate. Nothing more.

Ps: i just read it.

Anybody noticed how Kimi silenced the fireworks with one look?

I agree here. Yes it was hard racing from Hamilton, but the stewards judged it to be correct (they didn't intervene and you can bet on it they didn't miss this) and rosberg playfully handled hamilton afterwards. There's a certain amount of respect between those 2 and they didn't cross that. Then why should we, outsiders, decide for them what's good and what's wrong?

Yes, of course there are arguments against the actions of Hamilton. There always were, are and will be. That phenomenon has a name, ladies and gentlemen: motorsport.

While this may be true he should by all means be angry at himself.
Hamilton defended fiercely but you have to expect that from a serious WDC contender. Hell even when trying to pass Maldonado or Perez you should expect this.
You have to be able to deal with it. If you are quicker than the car in front of you, you need to leave some space before hitting the Apex and then close in on the exit of the turn, taking the excess Speed onto the next straight. Shadowing your opponent at arm's length through the whole turn from the entry to the exit will get you nowhere. Trying to compensate this by late breaking into the next turn will simply make you overshoot if your Opponent doesn't make a mistake.
Rosberg should study closely what he did wrong. That might help him in the future.
But he is in good Company with that. This has happened to many top Drivers in the past, heck, even to Michael Schumacher, who was usually very good at overtaking.

I would love to see Michael in W05!
He was on paar with Nico on fragile Pirelli tyers, with this years tyers and loose end of the car, with more torqe...would be joy to watch him.
On topic; race was great! Nico and Lewis were great! Team Merc was great.
Hope to see more of that this year.

Thanks for posting, that's a really good read, interesting with both sides of the garage shadowing and counter acting each other.

So now we know "Strat-6" is the full beans !

I thought during the race when I watched Lewis drive Nico off the track that they would have crucified Michael Schumacher for the same thing. Wit Lewis having the right nationality this kind of thing is regarded as border line but fair by the predominently English spoken racing community. Funny, really.

Although you gotta admit Michael got away with much more most of the time. Landing his first title by mowing Hill, or pushing Frentzen out of the track coming out of the pits in Canada '98 to name a few. He basically got away scot-free in both situations and then some...

Baloney. Hamilton has been penalized and reprimanded far harsher than Schu in his day. Remember the Ali G quote?

I did not think that was a correct thing either. Alonso complained rightly that you always have to leave space. The stewards have started the double standards much earlier. I remember a situation in Spa some years ago where someone was pushed off track in la source by Alonso if I remember correctly. I thought that was the begin of the double standard. Aparently if the thing is not dangerous it is tolerated now. Ten years ago pushing someone off in the infield of Indianapolis or Hockenheim would have been punished although it wasn't dangerous either.

Yes bla bla bla that has nothing to do with the point i'm trying to make. Lets not get Spa into this discussion.(Again double standards towards Lewis when the win was taking from him post race.) Nico is known to drive dirty yet you CLAIM Lewis ran him off the track while it was clearly not the case. [edited out- Flyboy]

Will you at least admit the battle was fair and squar?

Seriously? It was great racing and Bahrain has so much car friendly run off it makes the lines somewhat meaningless!

It's not like Spa from 20 years ago where going over the white lines meant landing in the gravel trap or the fence.

This is getting out of hand with driver and country fanboy baiting all around. I'm going to try to just edit the worst of the stuff out of posts. If that doesn't work, I'll just delete them. Stick to the Bahrain race. Don't start bringing up all the transgressions from the past.

Can't believe some folk, we've had one of the best battles for years and people moan about the hard racing. What makes it funny is that their favourite driver will have pulled the same moves plenty of times over their racing careers.

Would you rather drivers just do qualifying laps single file?? If they clamp down on hard but fair racing they've lost a viewer in me that's for sure!!
