I fully expect turn 9 to be flat as well.
NO way !

I would've thought that they used to lift completely. I don't recall any braking in recent years. But quite a big lift.

One other thing is that the racing line going into the corner had a bump that just loved unsettling the car. Is it gone with the repave ? Even so I think they'll be hard pressed to go full throttle thru that corner.

Edit: my bad. A touch of braking going into the corner in 2015, if the graphic is to be believed.
And the same in 2016 (again, if the graphic is to be believed.) I recall also from iracing that you had to brake a little before arriving the corner with the FW 31.

It may be one of those ballsy corners where drivers can make up some time, or maybe sacrificing some speed through 7 & 8.

12, not sure. Maybe a downshift or just a lift.

16, yeah I think so.

Let's hope for the sake of keeping the championship interesting. The last thin I'd want to see is an overmotivated Verstappen bottling it again for him and others on Lap 1......

I think it's possible to go flat through 12, but most likely no one has the skill or attachments to do it.

I do think the race lap record will be broken though.

Looking at the 2016 pole lap I would say yeah, it should be flat.

Pouhon is gonna be amazing, Blanchimont however hasn't been a corner for years, easy flat.

And you guys calling those corners 12 and 16... shame on you.

Looking at the map on page 1, 12 is Fagnes 1 (which sure as hell won't be close to flat) and 16 is the kink before Blanchimont, since both were mistaken i just aproximated to the closest thing.
Though i see now when you said 16 you meant Paul Frere/Stavelot 2.

Just use the names, it's an old track, the corners have names, Eau Rouge is cooler than "the 2-3-4 complex".

Well, if we must use names...
