Must be annoying if you want to watch the racing and can't see a thing because you're being choked to death by coloured smoke.

I have had to remove a number of off topic arguments from this thread. And there are even more that should be removed.

Cloudy, Sunshine, Rain.

Take your pick from the above and you will be right.

So far Friday race day looks to be clear, but Saturday and Sunday may have rain, too early to make any meaningful prediction. By Friday of this week I should have a good idea of what to expect for the weekend.

Well I have changing conditions for the entire weekend. It's hard to predict the weather in the region, notoriously difficult actually. So 'changing conditions' is as accurate as I can be for now.

2010 was a wet race, Lewis won and Kubica scored his last podium in F1, its alway 50/50 around spa

Ok not much difference there, still. 7 out of 9 years dry. We have preconditioned our minds to this fifty fifty chance of rain when the data reveals that it's nothing but romantic wishes through rose tinted glasses. There are some tracks which we tend to associate with rain but really would be interesting to see the data.

There's more chance of rain than at Silverstone so far. Of course, you may be right, but there's enough chance to not ignore the possibility.

36% chance of some rain during qualifying, and 45% chance of rain come race day. It's not expected to be heavy, Friday doesn't look like there will be much but can't just assume it will be dry. Spa is a very long track so it could rain on part of the circuit and be dry in others, it will be a tricky race with changing conditions. Watch the wind, when it changes direction it's usually a good indication for a change in conditions.

Wouldn't mind wet qualifying, with a wet start to the race slowly drying for slicks in the last 10 laps.
