Leclerc move will put VET under additional pressure. No way this will work out for him. Repeat of last year incoming?
Or it could also mean Kimi is no longer Vettel's servant.

When was he ever? I never thought that. Could that be just an imagination of a driver fan or is there actual some evidence for that?

Vettel will be under extreme pressure if next year with the best car he continues making mistakes and losing the championship like he does this year, and Leclerc delivers promising results. He might have to step down as the No.1 driver in 2020.

Merc and Ferrari tyre choices are really interesting. Merc being among the most lavish on the softs and having the fewest hypersofts;, while Ferrari is the opposite, being among the group with the fewest softs and lavish with the hypersofts.

It would seem that Ferrari either believes it can do a better job at conserving the hypersofts (assuming a dry weekend) ... Or they are going banzai for pole position.

Mercs choices seem to hint that they believe they can switch the softs and ultra's on pretty quickly and are leaving options open for a one stopper with hypersoft > soft.
They will have probably made the decision in the same way and around the same time as they did last race.
It looks to be a blind assumption and a belief they don’t need to test on the Softs. That may backfire again.

it's same like last year really. Bolting on with softest compounds available. Difference is this year, tyres are softer

This is assuming he doesn't win this year's championship which he still does have a chance of doing.

If Vettel doesn't win Singapore, it is over. This is one of his favorite circuits. If this doesn't turn into a win, we can forget about it.

People saying Vettel must win, it's all over etc., just remember that a DNF for Hamilton and it is all to play for again. 30 points at this stage is still "close". Long way to go in this season.
If you are more fortunate than others, build a larger table not a taller fence.

but the point people are trying to make is Lewis can afford a DNF and he would still be 5 points ahead.
But if Vettel DNFs it will shoot to 55 points.

I know 30 points are nothing at this stage of the championship and it can swing as fast as it had gone up...
but as Obi Wan Kanobi said to Luke Skywalker "i have the high ground" Lewis has the high ground.

It's just that people expect this to be one of his best chances to "take" a lot of points organically, without huge strokes of luck, by means of Mercedes maybe being the 3rd best car.

The problem is:
1. It was never as expected this season. Even in Monaco Lewis finished on P3 and in Monza the Merc was suddenly the best car by far. With the huge drop of performance of the Bulls it is bold to expect them to be competitive anyways...bar finishing the race.
2. As far as I could check the stats now, there was no race in Sing, where the top4 qualifiers ended up as the top4 in the race. Expecting anything worse than P3 for Lewis without an incident for him is a bold expectation.

It would be a miracle if Seb still has a chance without a DNF of Lewis. The cars are too similar in their performance and Merc is good in in-season development.

Can’t say for certain Mercedes was best by far at Monza. We can for sure say Hamilton was faster than Räikkönen.

We got no idea at all of Vettels true pace as he suffered damage on first lap and was always compromised from them on.

Vettel win and Lewis third this weekend brings lead to 20 Points which is not insurmountable over 6 final races.
