If Ferrari can't win in Baku, they won't win a single race this season unless Mercedes or a Red Bull have mechanical problems.

Worryingly Toto just said there’s some “good stuff” coming onto the car and they feel the development direction is right.

Could be a long season!

I think this will happen. Ferrari have no answers. And Red Bull even slower.
This will be the easiest title for Lewis. Bottas does not constitute any competition.

I thought Ferrari will be fighting the Merc and it ended up fighting Redbull...someone should question this stupid race strategy...am I the only one to see these big holes of shocking strategies...
Strategy apparently was to put Vettel in front no matter the cost. And they did exactly that.

"let him go, let him go,let him go,let him go...." and then Vettel did nothing. He did not deserve this place, he was not faster, he was not better, not in traffic, not overtaking anyone except his teammate at the end with never and softer tires.

Three races with Merc taking 1 & 2. What is this? 2016?
No it is actually 1992, when William's got 3 one twos in the first 3 races
If Mercedes get 1-2 in the next race then it will be a new record
With that many 90 degree corners at Baku, looks like it's gonna be another Merc 1&2.

why not just pull away from the start then and just drive his own race. he couldn't, he didn't have the pace, at that stage anyway.

Merc will be mighty in slow corners at Baku, I cant see Ferrari being any good there despite the long straight although they may be able to run a lot more downforce

Give them either a Merc or Ferrari engine and they will show who is lost.... its sad that neither Honda or Renault can produce a equal powerful engine like Merc or Ferrari...F1 is now a monopoly and I dont see the fans interest loving up at this 1000th GP.
Even their chassis isn't the best..they've done it wrong this season
And it’s still insane how far ahead they are of Formula 1.5. Red Bull Formula 1.25?
We're talking about the top 3..they're even slower than Mercedes and Ferrari.last year they were closer to them

Verstappen 39, Vettel 37, Leclerc 36

Ferrari’s strategy ensured Vettel got ahead of Leclerc in the standings. If LEC had held on to 4th, he’d still be ahead of VET. And Verstappen.

Lewis crossed the white line on pit exit but there is no investigation yet.
He was on the inside of the line. touched it but didn't cross it.

I think the cold temperatures helped Mercedes today. The tyre marbles on the side of the track reminded me of pirellis lottery tyres from 2010. The Ferrari just was't getting much from the front end and i suspect the temps had to do with it. They can be faster than Mercedes still, so i am not too worried for the other races.
Ferrari should have kept Leclerc ahead. He wasn't the best driver out of the two today, but they messed up their rhythm by letting "Mr Mission Spin now" get the benefit of the team order only to start locking up.
For Sure!!

Hindsight is beautiful thing. VET was constantly into DRS zone. Even in middle sector, So yeah. I would even say that they wait to long until Rb pull the trigger first with undercut.
