It was his to win last year, from that point on his luck turned sour for the season. I'm saying he is going to be extra motivated. He had pole last race but it wasn't on the best side. Same with Baku, pole isn't necessarily advantageous, so front row is the aim. He podiumed in 2nd in 2017 despite a tough drive through the field too, so he's no slouch in Baku. He can't afford to let Hamilton slip away. So let's hope he keeps the season interesting with a battle and clash with Hamilton.

The optimism is great at all, it's the learning part they seem to struggle with. #tenyears
Past is past.... we will see if baku updates show something that they have learnt....and how this year goes..
So Peter Windsor does a post race debrief in his car sponsored by Rich Energy drinks. It's on you tube titled "How did Ferrari loose China". Amongst his ramblings he says Ferrari are a shoe in for the Monaco win and will be very strong in Baku. This is all prior to any updates being mentioned. Any thoughts on why his view is Ferrari will be strong around tight and slow tracks? He does seem to think the car is quite nimble.
well he is seeing something that whole F1 people dont see.. cause SF() struggles from corner entry to apex..n exit is kinda okay...

Peter Windsor seems like an ok guy but too often his views are very biased and just plain wrong. He actually slated Mclaren for their performance in China when it was not warranted. Mclaren weren’t slow in China, they were just unlucky. Now this stance that Monaco will suit Ferrari makes no sense at all. Merc will be heavily favored there, and there’s a chance Redbull (max only) might outqualify both ferraris. The Ferrari lacks downforce. Come on Peter.

I wouldn't be that sure, in Bahrain Ferrari's traction out of the slow corners was far superiour.

I'd agree that they are not the clear favourites for Monaco, but all the "slow in corners" talk is a bit of a too superficial look at things as well

Well, the Ferrari has almost been looked at as a dragster in past few weeks by some people here. :) In F1 you're only as fast as you've been in your last race. Nothing surprises me anymore.

That's as it should be, as its a constant development race.

The Azerbaijan Grand Prix would like to move back to June from its current April slot on the Formula 1 calendar, race promoter Arif Rahimov said on Thursday.

“The weather (in June) is a bit more predictable, the build-up is easier, you have less winds, less rains, it’s warmer overall,” he told reporters ahead of Sunday’s race in Baku.
i don't agree, because the weather is the only thing that makes the race a bit more worth to watch.
If we would have all races i dry weather condition it would be even easier to predict who gonna stand where and who is gonna win.

That's what i loved about silverstone, BelgiumGP or GermanGP the possibility of rain ....

Havent all Baku races been in sunny conditions so far? With not a single winner from pole position?
Not for nothing, Rosberg's Championship is the only thing that lends credibility to Hamilton's recent success. Otherwise, he'd just be the guy who's had the best car. — bhall II

I expect an almighty struggle for the red cars around this track..

No offense but that is frankly one of the most stupid things I have heard/read in a long time. A condition that tends to level the playing field a bit is somehow "just fake drama". I'm dumbfounded!
