At least Max gets to start on the Medium, which may help in the race.
on used mediums though, 5 laps old.
Surely that’s no real diffrence than if he had qualified on them?

Hmm. LeClerc misses the bollard.
what was the punishment for Norris in Fp3 ?
There's nothing listed that I can see, the commentators did say they thought the stewards would be lenient as they had been all weekend.

well, no, apart from standing 5 or 6 spots further back on the grid.

And it's the only set of mediums he has, @Restomaniac

As if Pirelli could do anything about it anyway, I'm guessing the tires for the 4, 5, 6 ? races are already made, like they're going to scrap these and start again

The team need to get on with figuring this out

A bit embarrassing how long it takes for them to tow the Haas back.

only an universal vote from all the teams would make fia and pirelli to change it,....which btw is not really possible

His position is obvious but I was pointing out that those Mediums should be fine.

no further action,
The Stewards acknowledge that the Driver of Car 4 slowed sufficiently and re-joinedthe Track in a safe manner. Furthermore, given the offence was committed duringFree Practice 3, no sporting advantage was gained. The competitors are reminded, that during Qualifying Practice and the Race the RaceDirector’s notes will be enforced in a stricter manner.
Finishing races is important, but racing is more important. ...

yeah, sure, they should be fine in the way that he can go for a 1 stop, but overall it's still far from perfect.

I guess he will go for a start on new softs instead even, maybe with an aggressive two-stop strategy.

You don’t start developing your car at the end of the previous season. By that time the project already is in it’s last phases, also Binotto told that.
James Allison told that they had started the W10 project already at the end of 2017!
yes that's true but James also explained how the Week1 version had inwashing endplates, as we saw anyway, and was super slow and then they changed it. that's why it was late
Those endplates were not inwashing. Scarbs explained in one of his videos how it was a clever way of outwash.

Edit: I just noticed that you wrote it was James who told the endplates were inwashing. Would like to watch that. Do you have a link?
I can't see it now, perhaps i'll have a look after qualy, anyway he was saying what a disaster that Week1 concept was, losing 2.5s to start with, and whether Scarbs calls it outwashing after all it didn't work :)

Then there was a very different Week2 car wasn't there, that didn't start in 2017 it'll have started after the tyre test, with the new tyre construction as well, and Mercedes understanding what they needed
