Shov was saying on F1i they set the cars up with too much oversteer, in those conditions
Makes sense, easier to modulate throttle than it is to work around understeer.

Distracted with US Presidential Primary debates, completely forgot there was a race this weekend. Have to focus on the more important things in life, like F1.
refreshing to see another fellow member from stateside, Hello from illinois mate!
This has to be a trick question. You're calling people mate and you're from Illinois... you have been spending quite a bit of time in F1 forums. ;)

PA which is thankfully close enough to Montreal.

I hope this race is as exciting as the last 3. After a somewhat dull start of the season with everyone parading behind Merc, it was great seeing good races. While we’re exchanging pleasantries, greetings from Lake Tahoe, NV....mates :D

I think LEC will win this .
Spa could be a good chance for him but sadly I expect Ferrari to be beaten by Mercedes and Verstappen during this weekend.

Can anyone explain why Bottas would have just 1 set of hards? So this means in the race when they throw off their softs or mediums from the first stint, it will be Bottas's first time on the hard - period. Like is that not strange? The tyre you will spend the most time on during the race, you don't bother to run once prior.
Not totally uncommon : teams pile on the softs for FP3 and quali, and then you really need 1 set of hard and 1 set of mediums for most races.

And then you split between drivers : one of them takes an extra set of medium to test in FP2, the other takes an extra set of hard to test in FP2, and that way they have max number of Softs per driver while still having tested all tyres on long runs in FP2 to feed their strategy.

I'm from PA originally. I was born in Lewisburg (good luck finding that on a map), and also lived in Easton and Johnstown, before I moved west with my family at 17.

Statistical wisdom would suggest the chance we are getting anything but a Merc W10 show is small.
True GOATs don’t need the help of superior material to win.

Tom Brady, Usain Bolt are true GOATs.

If Hamilton is not well again it would be better if they informed about it before the race  . If they do it afterwards it may be considered an excuse.

Can't wait for another team fine for unsafe release. That's F1 for you, you can buy yourself unsafe behaviour as long as you're Ferrari.

When was the last time Hungaroring offered a good show with these modern cars?

Weather induced mayhem has actually hit the ring the last couple of years if I am correct. But otherwise they are borefests
