This has always been one of Merc’s strongest circuits.

Have a feeling Bottas is either going to be using an old Spec 2 or taking a grid penalty.
Does Merc have any real bad circuits?
Yes Singapore
Yep. I'll add Mexico and Austria to the list. They've been just okay at Brazil the past 2 years, as well. The high-altitude circuits really don't suit them.

Mercedes won Brazil pole and race for 5 straight years until Redbull Honda dethroned them . I think the whole altitude thing is being oversold to undermine progress made by rivals.

It's no surprise to see Red Bull being strong at the end of season where other teams move focus to next year. It has been the case the last few season. The proof of pudding of their progress is to see where they would be in Melbourne in 4 months' time.

Could easily have won in Singapore this year too.

Mercedes brought a big upgrade in japan to address some issues they had with the package they brought in Germany Redbull big package was in Austria the rest have been minor tweaks. I know you trying hard to convince everyone 2020 will be bussiness as usual Mercedes dominating no need to worry about pretenders. I don't see that happening no need for revisionist history or distortion of facts.

I know you trying hard to convince everyone 2020 will not be bussiness as usual of Mercedes dominating, so u need to worry about pretenders!
I don't see that happening no need for revisionist history or distortion of facts.
Neither do you know which team will be on top in 2020, so no need for revisionist history or distortion of facts.

Apart from James Allison admitting they had actually shifted focus (3 months earlier) to 2020 when they had actually sewn up both titles obviously.

I believe the Mercedes this year went marginal on its cooling for aero benefits hence the high altitude problems and other heating issues this year. This will be addressed for next year I am sure.

Looking forward to this race as there are very few battles left to fight ( Maclaren qualifying battle still undecided) so the drivers are in it for themselves.....

Do they need to? If you win almost every other grand prix you're already so far ahead you can afford to finish 4-5th a few times.

I think it's very naive to think that Red Bull won't have started working on the 2020 car just as early if not earlier than Mercedes.

What BS are you talking dude, history distortion etc? Smoking something? The fact is, Red Bull is yet to start a season as a contender for win in 6 years, while in 2016, 2018 and in 2019, they have and are ending with a good car. That is a fact. Keep your emotions deeply in your pocket. They are of no use.

So you think I have lost it. I am not the one getting personal and firing Bss .like all good things Mercedes domination will eventually come to an end , their fans should learn to live with new reality don't get hot under the collar like you are a shareholder of merc we all here to have fun
