Can we all agree DAS is safe and withstood wheel to wheel banging without damage??
I'd still like to know how they manage to drive it at all. There must be some way of locking the telescoping of the steering column or something. I can't imagine trying to hold the wheel position for and aft and well as rotationally and have any ability to control it.

I've not an F1 driver either though, much to everyone's relief I think.
Yes it locks in place...

The real DAS advantage is in getting out of DRS range at the start and on restarts.

Was pretty obvious in this race.

I think the stewards were as messy as some of the drivers. Not knowing when to put their stamp on something and when to let it go.

Also: there was a (former) RedBull driver as driver steward, but I assume he would be clever enough not to let that influence him.
Former RedBull drivers usually tend not to like their former team

they don't indeed... but on the other hand... I think he was racing online for Alpha Tauri during the lockdown.

But, the stewards are more then one person, I think they were just as rusty as some of the drivers.

Has there been any news in regards to Bottas being slow on the last 2 laps and possibly costing a 1-2? Fair play for him if it was intentional, but certainly the team would not have been pleased?
Not for nothing, Rosberg's Championship is the only thing that lends credibility to Hamilton's recent success. Otherwise, he'd just be the guy who's had the best car. — bhall II

Because of only/all the reactions here of Lewis, the other 19 drivers do not participate apparently.
People talk about what they care about, nothing you can really do about it if people don't care about what you do.

I dont think he was though, If I recall the live timing, lap 69 was slow for Bottas but 70 and 71 were in the 1.08's which is plenty fast enough considering the tyre age and compound. Lando's fastest lap was in the mid 1.07's so its not like Valtteri was that slow. Lap 69 was a bad one though, not sure what happened.

I like the F1 races. I care about the race with 20 drivers. I thought you can read about it in a race Topic, you also can in other race Topics on other forums. All I read here is Lewis, Lewis, Lewis and Mercedes. There are also 9 other teams. #-o

Maybe he started to slow down and then the team told him to go faster because of the penalty.

I was just on reddit and found tons of people who say this is their first ever F1 race, after watching last year’s Drive to Survive on Netflix. I always thought Netflix was hogging off F1 for content, but I guess it’s mutual. It’ll be great for F1 if the trend continues.
Ohh, how I wish Mercedes weren’t so far ahead #-o
