It's up there with Alonso's 6 tenths for sure.

Guys,

I heartily recommend you to rewatch 2011 race had you recorded it or those who have a subscription on F1TV, where you could see the entire race and also a 13 min. of race highlights.

What a race!

Believe me it worth watching it in order to see some fascinating racing battles, a race which showed us in contrast how predictable and boring F1 races have become nowadays!

I was just thinking about the time difference 50mm made to Sainz in that section....

Yeah totally agree, I mentioned earlier the 2011 race was great. Different teams all in the running for the win, and was a great race to watch the whole way through.

Even back then people were complaining that the "formula" was broken, I honestly don't think people will ever be happy with F1 in the present and will always look back and feel it was "better before".

It was one decent race in a season where Vettel won 11 of 19 races and took the title by a large margin. I guess because it was only Vettel's second title it wasn't yet considered boring that he was winning so much.

Bottas is 44pts behind Lewis.
Bottas is 33pts ahead of Max.
Lewis is 77pts ahead of Max.

What a trio

Red Bull 3d Scanning the track. I wonder if that fancy camera can scan at or less than 2mm resolution?

2011 was OK but nothing special, dominated by Seb with 11 wins. Wins from Mclaren, RBR, Ferrari. Massa crashed into Hamilton a lot. I seem to remember complaints about how ugly the cars were and how the tall narrow cars were slow. F1 cars really needed 1000bhp etc... FOM/FIA did respond to these issues but forgot about the major problem, the aero wake and racing...
