For those who are saying this race was 'boring', let me remind you that we had an insane amount of crazy races this season. Much more than the average season. And those who've watched between 2000-2005, know that at least half the races from back then were easily more boring than this one. At least we had some overtakes, even tho all of them were DRS assisted.

I really blame Mercedes for this boring race for not showing a little teeth and the willingness to be courageous in trying an alternative strategy when they followed Verstappen into the pits. Seemed like they were just happy to “protect Bottas 2nd in the WDC with as little risk as possible”.

Not a happy Mercedes fan today. I feel robbed.

/end rant
Everybody had to take that pitstop, almost free. Due to the long pit exit a pitstop here is very costly. They could have tried a Hamilton 2nd pitstop but again, long pitstop time and Albon was there to make that option unattractive.

Max was simply too quick for Bottas, at start, at restart regardless of DAS and lap after lap.

I would say a perfect 10 for Max on his tenth victory. Left nothing on the table.

It's a deliberate foul that leads to a material change in the results. Disqualification shouldn't be ruled out.
Did you watch the replay ?
I'm sure I saw as much of it as you did and believe there is a lot more to it than that.
In sporting terms, it's comparable to Schumacher's swipe on Hill in Adelaide all those years ago. It's a foul and it changed the championship positions.

In other sports, a deliberate and professional breach of the rules like that attracts the harshest penalty.

So Honda is likely more powerful than Mercedes in today's race. At least in MGUK deployment. If a Mercedes wins I want no more excuses about power advantage OK, bull boys?
So childish, really. This just proves Mercedes dominance was for the biggest part due to their better engine package.
PZ, may I ask, are your posts of late all in gest? I hope so.

Hamilton surely isnt talking like a guy who wont be driving next year...
Of course he will drive next year,
so quick he was to jump back into the car half-sick to deny King George any more merits.
Finishing races is important, but racing is more important.

Did you watch the replay ? He barely slowed down at all, had two lifts, maybe fell from 80 to 70 and not much more, if at all. Also, in the post race interview with sky, Carlos said he slowed down a bit because people were coming in and out of their boxes in a frantic manner and that he wanted to be safe, which we know isn't %100 the truth, but nevertheless a reasonable defence.

There is absolutely no way he'll get more than 10 seconds for this. Considering where Lance finished, and how benign his 'lifts' were, I'd say he'll get nothing or 5 seconds tops (and he'd get that as a precedent, not that there aren't any previous ones, but to stay consistent etc.).

Now we can officially say McLaren in 3rd

Awesome race from Max and hopefully a sign of things to come next season. Good job on RedBull Honda for this season ending dominant win. No idiots shedding parts and puncturing Max's tires. Sorry if you were bored but at least a non Merc won instead of the typical bore fest and unfortunately no meltdown from team Mercedes. Too bad for RP to be let down by their PU again!
No, just a redbull winning borefest

Why in gods name did they not stay out with Hamilton???
This! At least sacrifice him to back Max up into Bottas.

Track doesn't warrant a place on the calendar and certainly not the finale.
It is a nice track and I think on looks alone, it should be the final race. The problem, I think is that the track is not challenging enough so the drivers simply do not make any mistakes when they push, and so, overtaking is almost impossible. The promoters should look into altering the layout to make the track more on-edge for these cars.

Ham was untouchable in first, Bottas was a teetering second.
This race was about Bottas

Well, if Redbull sign Perez next year I will support them.

I've supported Hamilton since 2007, but for some reason having Bottas in the seat next year bores me and I can't be arsed with them.

If Redbull don't sign Perez \_o_/

I don't think supporting since 2007, or seeing Lewis race at silverstone 2006 counts as fickle. But you might have different criteria.

I think we could do with a change and if Redbull are going to do that by offering Perez a well deserved seat I think they will be enough to earn my attention.

Bottas is done, their is no excitement in or out of the car with him. It is about time Mercedes thought of the fans and decide to offer something different at the top to freshen things up. If they don't want to do that, fine it is their choice, but it is also my choice.

There was a buzz with GR in the car last week, their was no buzz this week.
