Great news, thanks to Barry at F1 partfinder (cheers Barry) I received a mail last night and collected a damaged but perfectly suited nose for the car today.

Last week I was tempted by a 2006 one on e-bay but when the seller asked for in excess of £600 I backed away as it had too much damage and wasnt right.

I have also loaded an image of the fuel cell, not sure if I had loaded that before

Thanks!

This is the first I've seen of this thread. I'm continually impressed by the devotion displayed by some of the members of this forum. I'm just as impressed by what I suppose is your collection of F1 ephemera.

Where did you get the wind tunnel model?

(Oh, and Barrichello occasionally wore a helmet a with thermal-reactive coating in 2007. That's why it appears black in that picture from the Saturday at Silverstone.)

Thanks for the kind words Kurt and Nicky, I am pleased its not only me that finds this project interesting.
I promise to keep posting!

As for the note on the wind tunnel model from bhallg2k I bought it from a trader who was kind enough to collect all the parts however I had to sell it on as again the BAR Honda had to take first place in spending money, something it seems is very easy to do with the chassis however worth every penny.

I must mention some of the great help I have had from Bjorn who owns the RA107, top bloke.
When we get the pair of Hondas running we will have to do a track day and invite everyone who has been helping. That may be a few years away for me though.

Very kind of you to say so, Kev, but you have actually been just as helpful to me and has enabled me to find some excellent and hard to find parts for my RA107 project.

It will be fantastic to take our two Hondas out together in due cause, but like you, I have a lot of work ahead of me before that can happen. No matter, as getting there is also very exciting, every little step forwards is a victory.

Its really great to have others like you, Kev, also building up a car, as there are not that many of us out there! The fact that we can share in the way of this forum, and get great feedback from other users is very rewarding and inspiring, and I'm absolutely up for making some sort of track event for the excellent and helpful members of F1technical.net when we get up and running with our two cars.

I would be very interested to see a shot of the baffles in the fuel cell :)

Hi Giblet, attached are links to more fuel cell shots, I hope they are what you are after?

I have also included a picture of the paperwork that came with the fuel cell when I bought it.

As a bit of a maniac now I also purchased a small amount of Honda team wear from e-bay

Once I receive a cockpit switch unit I will post those pictures too

Brilliant! That camera pod looks loads better than when I last saw it! Also nice to see the control panel in place. Keep up the good work, mate.

Koni dampers purchased from e-bay arrived today. They are from a Renault, circa 2011 so may not be suitable but irrespective a work of art!!!
